Today is Fourth of July, and I wore the celebratory colors for the Independence day in the United States of America: red, white and blue.
Instead of going to see the fireworks we decided to see other type of pyrotechnics, In this case the ones created for a movie. We went to see The Lone Ranger, at one of my favorite movie theaters in Los Angeles: The Vista.
The movie was kind of a mess, with some good action sequences and great vistas, but Johnny Depp has played this character way too many times (he is exactly the same here as he was as Captain Sparrow, Willy Wonka, the Mad Hatter and even Barnabas Collins), and he did it one more time in this movie as Tonto. Not that he is not funny or likable but it is the same character. The other huge problem for me was the main character, the Lone Ranger, played by Armie Hammer, who is so stupid and makes so many mistakes that it is impossible to root for him.
