Ok, lets go over what I wore today really quick so we can move on and talk about Michelle Obama.
Me? Skinny dark jeans and a plaid cotton shirt from Ben Sherman. What I did to make it a little bit special was to wear my very old white belt, that I think I got -years ago- at Urban Outfitters.
In this historical day our First Lady Michelle Obama looked a good as ever. The first outfit was exceptional. Very fashion forward, but perfectly appropriate.
The main piece was a stunning Thom Browne coat, with a ridiculously cool belt by J. Crew that sold out before the day ended. The shoes were also by the retailer. And what about that touch of color with the super chic purple gloves? She looked fantastic!
For the evening celebrations she chose (again, like she did 4 years ago) a gown by Jason Wu, who she helped become a household name. This red dress, which I like much better than the white one from 2009, looked great on her, particularly because it looked so effortless, so easy. Like the way she always seems to be. Doesn’t she look 35? Hard to believe she is 49! She is hot, hot, hot!
People in the industry were surprised by her choice -same designer, instead of a new one-, but I do think that she went with the easiest choice. She looked radiant!
And lets end today’s post with a picture of my boot and my beloved dog, just because he is cute as hell.
