This evening we finished the day going to a lecture given by the artist Matt Mullican at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles. It was very interesting for many reasons. One of them is because his brother John Mullican is a good friend and his mother Luchita is a fantastic woman -and artist- that happens to be from Venezuela, like me.

It was fascinating to listen to Matt Mullican talk about the universe he created for himself and where all his references and iconography comes from. At the end of the day, all of us, one way or another, are doing the same thing: trying to figure out our purpose in life and to try to give some sense to our existence.

In a lighter note I will mention that I’m wearing skinny jeans by April 77,  shirt by Ben Sherman and jacket by Zegna.
