Today I ended the day going to the movies. I saw Fruitvale Station and I really liked it. It is moving and powerful and raw. And incredibly timely. I understand why Rotten Tomatoes gives it 94%. The three main actors (Michael B. Jordan, Melonie Diaz and Octavia Spencer) are terrific and I think this is the first movie of the year that we will hear about during award season next year. I hope the Academy will remember these names when is time to nominate some performances of this year.
